Since I've been home for almost 2 and half months, my friends and some people notice that I've lost my weight, and they keep asking me, how I manage to loose my weight, so i just maybe write it down what I have been through almost a year ago, when I decided to loose my weight.
When I hit University Life, I have no problem with my weight, well at least that's what i was thinking. I was aware that I weighed 10 kilos heavier than my weight before university. I keep telling everybody, that i had no problem with that, and it was because I ate too much oil in Taiwan, but it was nothing to be afraid of. At least I wasnt hungry!
But last year on november, I remember, my roommate and I were talking about many things, then the topic change into diet. Ive been told by my roommate, that one of our friend said that i weighed too much than anybody else, and it was terrible to see how i weighed too much. I don't know why, that night, I suddenly feel so disgust with my own body, and every and each time I took a bath, I hate my own body. I suddenly realize that I have to loose weight.
Some people who are socially bullied by other people because she/he is fat, would maybe go through unhealthy diet, or so. But my friend ask me to follow her tips to a healthy diet.
At first, because I was sad, I tend to eat less, and only ate apple for dinner. Actually I have tried many times to go on diet. When I was in senior or junior high school, I got sick because of it. So I was thinking that diet would not be good for me, and I hate diet. But this time, I think I have to go on diet!!
As time goes by, I think that I should follow my friend's tips and go on healthy diet, rather than not to eat everything, and starve myself to death.
And I lost 15 kilos in 6 month. Well, I still have fats here and there, and im not that skinny.
And by this, Im not asking everybody to loose their weight, it's just better to live a healthy life.
Some friends refuse to go on diet, because they think their weight is okay, and they're not obese, or overweight. Some friends hate exercise, some friends hate veggies. and these reasons used to be my reasons before. But healthy diet doesn't mean to you to loose your weight, it means to live a healthy life, and there's nothing wrong with it.
Ever since I go on diet, I feel healthier, and that means I could do more things than I ever done before. and that's even good!
SO this is the simple step to a healthy diet I've been through:
1. Spend time to eat your breakfast. There are some tips that said what you should eat your breakfast, but my advice is, not to eat too much for your breakfast. Eat enough meal to give you enough energy.
2. Never forget to eat your lunch. This is the most important meals in a day. Eat everything you want to eat, but remember, stop eating before you feel full. Because when you feel full, it would not be good for you, you will feel sick, and some people might throw up.
3. Have dinner earlier. Eat your dinner at maybe 6-7 pm, and try not to eat again after 7-8 pm. Eat dinner at least 3 hours before going to bed.
4. Have enough sleep. some people said, you should sleep 8 hours a day. During 9pm-5am is the best time for you to take a rest, and it would also be good to your body. Unless you have nothing to, try to sleep earlier. (and this is the step that I could never do haha)
5. Exercise!!! Do some exercise, at least 3 days a week, 30 minutes per exercise. The best exercise I found so far is, running! I would recommend a treadmill, but if you don't have any and feel lazy to go to gym, you could run anywhere, but be careful of any cars. It would be good if you could do exercise once a day. DONT TELL ME, that you're already tired from work, and exercise would mean nothing. WRONG! exercise (not a hard and difficult exercise) helps you to relieve stress and makes you feel relax. Yes, it would make you more tired, but it is really good to your body. I would highly recommend exercise to busy people!
6. Pay attention to your eating habit : after eating, don't sit down, you should maybe take a walk or just stand up for minutes (just dont sit down).
If you're a meat-lover, tried some veggies with it. I should say, that I didnt like Veggies, but now, I tried to eat some of veggies, and i should say that if you care for your health, you should maybe eat Veggies.
Eat less rice. I know that asian people couldnt live without rice. But if you eat rice too much, you should do more exercise to burn it :D so, for your dinner, I recommend you not to eat rice. And for lunch, it is either eat rice with veggies, or veggies with meat. Try not to eat meat and rice together. for breakfast, it would be good if you're not to eat rice!
Stop eating before you full!
7. Another tips to healthy diet... eat every 2 hours! some of my friends use this way to loose their weight. You should just eat something every 2 hours and stop eating after 7 pm or so.
Well, I'm the type of person who will get fatter even I didnt eat too much. Some people could eat as much as they want but not getting fatter, well it must be nice to be them.
But since Im this type of person, all i could do is go back to the very basic importance of food, to give you energy to do something, and to keep your body in stable. So now, I tend to eat healthy.
Well, even though, now, im not that skinny, and im still have fats, but after I lost 15 kilos, I could laugh happily to any of diet-pill, or stuffs that makes you skinnier. I don't need to spend million rupiahs to loose my weight.
When you want to live a healthy life, and go on diet, remember this:
don't give up!
